Pioneering Pilot Colorado River Land Management Program
| Farmers in the Bard Water District in southeastern California will voluntarily skip their spring and summer plantings and transfer saved Colorado River water to Metropolitan under a groundbreaking two-year pilot program revised by Metropolitan's Board of Directors. |

Metropolitan's Bob Muir Named Communicator of the Year by National Group

| The National Association of Government Communicators selected Muir, Metropolitan's veteran press officer, as its 2016 Communicator of the Year. The group said Muir "earned the award for his responsiveness, subject matter expertise, and straight talk in communicating to media and with the public during the 2015 Southern California drought." |
