California WaterFix Update

WaterFix

Metropolitan’s Board of Directors has held two of its scheduled public meetings to review different components of California WaterFix, with the third meeting on cost and financial issues to be held Aug. 14. A special board meeting is scheduled for Sept. 26. This will be a full day meeting and the agenda will include an action item on California WaterFix.

Metropolitan Launches Summer Conservation Campaign

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California wants to thank Southland residents for not just saving water during the drought, but for all they are doing to keep conserving for the future.

In the new media campaign called "H2Love Letters," some of those who directly benefit from water savings will extend a big thanks through fun messages on billboards, busses, newspapers and even the Santa Monica Pier Ferris wheel. Read the press release.

Setting the Record Straight

The San Diego County Water Authority continues to mischaracterize Metropolitan's practices and its important role as a regional water provider.

Court case update: The State Appellate Court has denied the SDCWA’s petition for rehearing in the rate litigation. The court made no change to the judgment, leaving intact Metropolitan’s major victory. Read the General Counsel’s memo to the board of directors and member agency general managers.
